About Autumn

As the founder of Advanced Breastfeeding Support of Las Vegas, I have had a passion for helping people as a healthcare provider for over 15 years. At a very early age, I knew that I wanted to help people and I became a Registered Nurse in 2005.

There was no doubt in my mind when I was pregnant that I would have my children and they would be breastfed- no other feeding method was even an option. After my first child was born, I quickly found out that life and babies do not always go as planned. I was as prepared as anyone could be taking every prenatal class I could, reading books about nursing, lactating, baby wearing, natural childbirth… you name it. After starting my breastfeeding journey with my first, I learned that it was not as natural/instinctual as I had envisioned and I needed help. I was referred to an IBCLC and I wouldn’t have been able to breastfeed my child without the help of a trained professional. Little did I know at the time that it would be the hardest and most rewarding journey that I would ever go on. For the first 4 months of my daughter’s life, I battled almost every possible breastfeeding issue. From low milk supply and triple feeds, tongue tie with subsequent laser release, and even a breast abscess needing 2 months of follow up from a wound care doctor. I fought every battle I came across and overcame every obstacle. When I understood the importance of properly trained lactation support, I knew then what I needed to dedicate the rest of my life to. I started my professional lactation journey in 2014, and passed my boards in 2016. Since then, I have helped over 1,000 dyads on their feeding journeys. Three children later, each has taught me something different and each time I have been able to utilize new skills and appreciation for obstacles in infant feeding.

About Morgan

I have been a nurse for 21+ years and a lactation consultant (IBCLC) for over 13 years. I am a mother of two active boys. I breastfed both, my eldest for 15 months and my youngest over 3 1/2 years. Lack of support was a big challenge for me, both personally and professionally.

It’s truly amazing the changes that have occurred in the lactation community since I had my first child! My passion has always been helping people. Through the challenges of feeding my own boys, I realized my true passion of helping others with feeding their newborns.

Most of my experience has been in the hospital setting. I have worked acute care all of my nursing career. I carried the role as a postpartum charge nurse for over 10 years, which has provided me the knowledge and experience of being able to respond to and identify emergencies.

Transitioning to lactation, postpartum care and newborn feeding has been a natural progression for me. Assisting in and support of the mother baby dyad and family unit in infant feeding has been a rewarding experience. I enjoy learning and expanding my knowledge and experience. My goal is to provide the best care and feeding experience possible.

Heather joined Advanced Breastfeeding Support of Las Vegas in 2021 and is the organizer we have so needed as our business has grown. She has worked in the medical field and customer service for over 13 years, until she had children and has focused on caring for them. After taking a break for focusing on family, she is getting back in the workforce to help us. She has also overcome every obstacle to also be successful in breastfeeding her own three children.

Morgan’s passion for lactation started from a love of nutrition for the pediatric and neonatal populations. She is a licensed registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN/LD) with a specialized interest in pediatrics and neonatal intensive care. She has been an RD at two of the top children’s hospitals here in the Las Vegas valley. “I found my way into the world of lactation, by wanting to know more about what made breastmilk and the amazing connection a dyad creates so imperative.” After all, even little humans have to eat. :)  Most of her experience has been in the acute hospital setting, caring for the critically ill from adult to neonates alike. Following a passion and drive for more education into the pediatric world, becoming an IBCLC was a great step in the right direction to help the world’s smallest humans with their journey in nutrition.
Although she has not yet had children of her own, she has had the incredible opportunity to watch many of her nieces, nephews and nanny to two children grow up into amazing little humans. “This journey into lactation has been incredible as I was able to give my mother the proper respect and overdue appreciation she deserved after breastfeeding my twin sister and I and reaching her breastfeeding goals. Go Momma!

I became interested in women and children’s health at a very early age. Serving in the church nursery, and eventually as a teenager, I worked at the same OB-GYN clinic where my mom practiced as a nurse, I filed charts during the summer and school holidays. Fast forward to 2018, I earned masters degree public health with a focus on maternal and fetal health disparities which led to advocating for the birthing person and their feeding journey.

I trained with DONA International in 2020 as a birth and postpartum doula. I learned basics of breast/chest feeding support, but wanted to learn more and quickly realized this was a passion of mine. I started the Lactation Education Counselor program at UC San Diego in 2021. In 2022 I was accepted into a Pathway II Human Lactation Program to continue a dream of becoming an IBCLC.

Originally from the east coast, I just moved to Las Vegas with my husband, a Summerlin native. I am so thrilled to come alongside parents as they navigate the early weeks and months of feeding their little babe(s).

About Kim

About Beth

Being the oldest of 5 siblings who were all breastfed by our mother till the age of 2 or more, breastfeeding my own children was, of course, the only choice. I was not like many mothers today who read all the books, and take all the classes. I had my mother! I believed her to be the ultimate resource when it came to breastfeeding. I faced many challenges with my first baby. He was in the NICU for several days. I experienced very painful latches with bleeding nipples. I wish I had sought the help of an experienced professional. Although I did succeed in exclusively breastfeeding, it was a difficult journey initially. Oh if I knew then what I know now!

When I discovered that you can make a living helping mothers with breastfeeding, I knew it was the path for me. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor first, and then immediately pursued board certification. I have worked in the hospital setting since 2010, and now am adding outpatient care to help make me a more well-rounded consultant. What a rewarding career! It really is true when they say to find something you are passionate about, and you will never feel like you work a day in your life.

I am now also furthering my knowledge of feeding by becoming a Speech Pathologist. I have recently completed my Bachelor's in Speech & Hearing Science, and hope to enter a Master's program soon. My hope is to one day offer comprehensive care and assistance to families who have infants with feeding issues.

I owe all of my breastfeeding success to Autumn! I cannot thank her enough!

I owe all of my breastfeeding success to Autumn! I cannot thank her enough! She helped me reach above and beyond my goal of breastfeeding. If you think you are doomed, but even have the smallest bit of interest to breastfeed she is your gal. We struggled with a tongue, cracked nipples, blood blisters, losing supply, etc and I was able to feed my baby my breastmilk for a full year and I had doubts I wouldn’t be able to for even a month. Autumn knows her stuff!

She took the time to understand my concerns about breast feeding my daughter.

Nicolette has been so helpful to me. She took the time to understand my concerns about breast feeding my daughter. When I felt like what I was doing wasn't working she was able to come up with a new game plan for me and reassure me about this process as a first time mom. She's very smart in her field and I would recommend her to anyone who needs help with breast feeding.

10/10 would recommend!

Edna and Advanced Breastfeeding Support changed my life for the better! I was already successfully breastfeeding but there were so many things I wasn’t aware of that greatly improved my experience! 10/10 would recommend!
